The CISAR 2023 programme promises to bring you a stimulating mix with expert presentations, discussion and debates on current climate insurance and agricultural risk topics facing the insurance and farming industries.

We will look back on how the European crop insurance markets performed in 2022, using input from the answers of insurers throughout Europe to our pre-event survey.

We have also looked to shape the programme as preferred by our regular participants. Our organizing committee has respected the feedback from our survey and has put a strong focus on innovative insurance (index) products for climate risks, and on climate risk modelling.

For the first time, CISAR’s organization is supported officially by a scientific committee consisting of Prof. Mario Njavro from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Paolo Sckokai from UNICATT, Piacenza and Prof. Bernhard Schauberger from the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf. Our participating scientists and other experts will share their data-driven insights on climate change and agricultural sector trends and risk perspectives derived from the latest available data and analysis.

The second day of CISAR will be devoted to InsurTech solutions availabe in the market to support risk management and insurance of agricultural production, and that can bring benefits to all stakeholders in the process. Delegates will also benefit from face-to-face networking opportunities, including display stands to browse at the venue, coffee breaks for informal discussions as well as lunch and a dinner evening as social features during the 2 days of CISAR.
