Dear business partner,
After being obliged to cancel our second CISAR symposium in March this year due to the COVID-19 situation, we are now pleased to inform you about the postponement of this event to March 2021. Climate change remains an increasing threat to agricultural production and insurance is one of the most promising methods to alleviate this risk. We were encouraged by participants at our first symposium in March 2019, who showed great interest in further fostering the exchange of experience in the field of managing and insuring the risks of climate change in agriculture as well as exploring state-of-the-art technology to support advanced risk-transfer solutions.
Therefore, the team of G&Co would like to bring this event to your attention again. The objective of the symposium is to support a sustainable development of risk management measures in agriculture by bringing together representatives of the public sector, science, risk management and insurance companies, tech companies and the farming community.
Following that goal, the second CISAR Symposium will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2021 in Freising on the campus of the Research Centre Weihenstephan (Technical University of Munich).
As part of our mission to close the widely observed agriculture protection gap, we are offering this exciting opportunity for a thorough exchange of experience and ideas in this important field.
Regional focus:
We will focus mainly on Europe, the CEE and CIS countries, many of the latter being developing countries with a large protection gap.
The programme will consist of keynote speeches, panel discussions followed by result-orientated workshops and interactive breaks with thematic stands and networking opportunity.
We will send you a formal invitation together with the programme as soon as this has been finalized.
Finally, we reserve the right to transform this live event to a completely virtual one, in case the situation with COVID-19 requires a logistical change. You will be informed accordingly.
